ABOUT AMaGA

The Australian Museums and Galleries Association is the peak body for Australian museums and galleries. AMaGA is a membership association that provides services to both institutional and individual members.

AMaGA was awarded a grant from the Catalyst Fund in 2016 to undertake an audit of Indigenous engagement in Australia's museums and galleries. Terri Janke and Company was engaged to undertake the research and analysis, then recommend actions for change, which resulted in the 10-year Roadmap.

In addition to providing actions for how museums and galleries can work towards greater Indigenous engagement, the Roadmap includes many recommendations that, as the peak body, AMaGA should undertake over the next 10 years.
